Becoming a physician is a desire that Desiree Gleason has been sure of since she was a little girl.
“I grew up in a small town where our primary care doctor was my grandmother’s and my mother’s physician. It brings me great joy to be part of people’s families as their primary care physician.”
Dr. Gleason earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University – Commerce and her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital.
As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Gleason cares for patients from age 18 through the end of life. It’s important to her that patients understand she’s more than just their doctor. She’s part of your team.
“It's very important that you give me feedback and let me know what works for you and what doesn't. If it doesn't, it's not useful. At our first appointment, we’ll spend time getting to know each other so that I support you in your goals. We are a team from day one.”
