LMH Health earns top honor in hospital safety
We are excited to announce that LMH Health has earned an “A” for the Fall 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital rating focused exclusively on hospital safety. These A-F letter grades are a quick way for consumers to choose the safest hospital in which to seek care. This is LMH Health’s third “A” in a row, having previously earned the grade in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.
Developed under the guidance of a national expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is based on 27 measures of publicly-available hospital safety data, which is used to assign grades to more than 2,700 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year. The Hospital Safety Grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public.

Only a small number of hospitals consistently achieve ”A” grades and are noted by The Leapfrog Group for their “Straight A’s” in recognition of their commitment to patient safety. The grade comes from a series of submissions in 10 different categories: Preventing and Responding to Patient Harm, Medication Safety, Healthcare-Associated Infections, Maternity Care, Pediatric Care, Critical Care, Complex Adult Surgery, Care for Elective Outpatient Surgery Patients, Elective Outpatient Surgery – Adult and Elective Outpatient Surgery – Pediatric.
