LMH Health wins Best of Show in statewide competition
LMH Health was recognized for excellence in marketing by the Kansas Association of Healthcare Communicators (KAHCC) through the Emerald Awards competition.
Emerald Awards are given annually to Kansas hospitals and health systems that excel in internal communications, external communications, special events, advertising and other categories. The 2020 Emerald Awards were presented at the KAHCC Virtual Fall Conference on September 11.
LMH Health earned one of two Best of Show awards for “Mammography Spot.” This ad for television and social media compares the time an average person spends on social media, watching TV and driving to the time it takes to get a mammogram. It helped achieve a 9.5% increase in mammograms in 2019 compared to the previous year and is being used again this year because it had such resonance with the community. Judges said it was a great plan, great execution and exceptionally effective.
LMH Health earned awards in three additional categories, including two Emerald Awards and one Certificate of Merit. These include:
- Emerald Award – Advertising: Television or Radio – Mammography Spot
- Emerald Award – Advertising: Total Campaign – Runner Campaign
- Certificate of Merit – LMH Health Website Redesign
“We are so fortunate to share information with our patients and community about the outstanding services and wonderful physicians at LMH Health. We have the best job in the organization - telling our fabulous stories,” said Amy Northrop, Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Outreach & Engagement. “I also want to acknowledge the tremendous leadership of Janice Early, former Vice President of Marketing, in bringing this campaign to market last year. Her wisdom and understanding of our audience is a testament to why this wasn’t only an award-winning ad, but an effective one in increasing mammography services.”
