LMH Health Implementing Precautions for Influenza-Like Illnesses

Due to an increase in influenza-like illnesses, LMH Health is implementing precautions in the hospital to keep our patients, staff, volunteers and visitors healthy.

As in past years, we are taking this action proactively to protect our patients, many of whom are immunocompromised, as well as our staff, volunteers and visitors to the hospital. We felt it was appropriate to do so again. We are asking those thinking of visiting patients but are feeling ill to stay home and rest.

The best way to prevent the spread of influenza-like illness is to get a flu shot, but good hygiene habits such as handwashing and covering your cough can help prevent the spread of germs and prevent illness. If you are sick, stay home and do not expose patients, visitors, volunteers and staff to illness.
