Meds to Beds brings medication to your bedside

What is Meds to Beds?

We know it can be hard to make it by the pharmacy when you’re going home from the hospital. The LMH Health System Pharmacy offers Meds to Beds, a convenient optional service where we fill your prescriptions at our pharmacy and deliver them directly to your room.

We’ll talk with you to make sure you understand any changes to your medication. We’ll also communicate your medication information to your local pharmacist and primary care provider, allowing for an easy transition from hospital to home.

What are the benefits?

When your doctor has cleared you to head home, LMH Health pharmacy personnel will bring your medication to your room before you leave. One of our pharmacists will come to your room and talk with you about your medications. We have over-the-counter medication and home health aides you may need as well.

How much does it cost?

The delivery service costs nothing! The only thing you are required to pay for is your medication. You can pay with cash, check or credit card upon delivery. We provide you with an initial supply of your prescribed medicine, transfer remaining refills to your preferred pharmacy and communicate any medication changes with your pharmacist.

Each pharmacy has varying prices on medicine. We’re able to bill most prescription insurances and will provide you with copay prices before we come to your room. The cost of your prescription won’t be added to your overall hospital bill. You’ll be responsible for any co-payment when your prescriptions are delivered to you.

What if I have prescription insurance?

To use your prescription insurance, please provide your prescription insurance card to the LMH Health admissions clerk. If you don’t have your insurance card, pharmacy personnel will help you to get the necessary information. If you don’t have prescription insurance, you are still welcome to use this service.

To sign up for this service, simply let nursing or pharmacy staff know that you’re interested and they will help you get started.
