Vascular Services at LMH Health
At the LMH Health Heart Center, we offer specialized intervention for a complete spectrum of circulatory disorders, including aortic and peripheral arterial aneurysms, arterial occlusive disease, and vein disorders.
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a circulatory condition that damages or blocks major blood vessels. Our cardiologists routinely treat PAD with balloon angioplasty. During this interventional procedure, an LMH Health cardiologist inserts and then inflates a balloon inside the artery to block blood flow. A stent is then placed inside the vessel to keep the walls open.
Our heart team also diagnoses vascular disease before pain and symptoms emerge. We work with you and your primary care physician to:
- Define your risk for vascular disease
- Identify your treatment options
- Help you develop strategies for lifestyle modifications and risk reduction
- Develop a treatment plan
Our vascular laboratory offers a range of non-invasive diagnostic screenings, such as:
- Ankle-brachial index test
- Carotid duplex
- Duplex ultrasound evaluations
- Non-invasive evaluations
- Pulse volume recordings
- Segmental pressure
- Venous evaluations for deep vein thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency
Once your testing is complete, your doctor will discuss treatment options with you. Our goal is to identify the least invasive, most effective therapy possible to ensure your rapid return to good health.
