Robotic Surgery

Trust experienced LMH Health surgeons to help you heal faster and reduce your recovery time with robot-assisted surgery. No matter what type of surgery you need, LMH Health has the right technology and expertise for you.

What’s Robot-Assisted Surgery?

During robot-assisted surgery, your surgeon controls robotic arms that hold small surgical tools. Your surgeon operates the robot from a computer console with high-definition 3D images with ten times the magnification of the surgical area. The robotic arms allow your doctors to have more range, precision, flexibility, and control than a human wrist.

Your surgeon can evaluate blood flow and specific structures such as the common bile duct and ureters during robotic surgery by using safe, non-radioactive dye known as Firefly™ technology. Firefly gives your surgeon the ability to identify things they otherwise wouldn’t see.

Benefits of Robotic Surgery

Depending on your overall health and the reason for treatment, you may have a minimally invasive robot-assisted procedure instead of traditional, open surgery. You may benefit from:

  • Less pain and discomfort
  • Less risk of infection and incisional hernias
  • Quicker recovery and shorter hospital stay
  • Smaller scars
