“Being in a supportive community, such as Lawrence, makes a huge difference when it comes to giving our athletes the best chance at success. When the community rallies around our schools, our athletes and students are given the opportunity to flourish in life.”
A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Kaarin Hoogstraten earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Kansas and a masters in applied science with a concentration in human movement science from Concordia University-Chicago. “Free State was the first and last rotation I ever had as an athletic training student at KU, and I am so excited to be able to give back to the school that helped me realize I wanted to be a high school athletic trainer.”
Prior to joining LMH Health OrthoKansas, Kaarin worked for Children’s Mercy providing athletic training services to schools in both Missouri and Kansas, as well as working in an orthopedic clinic setting.
